The final event of the day came down once again to a battle between two schools that have dominated the event over the last few years. South Strathfield HS have been one of the standout teams consistently featuring in either semi finals or grand finals over the last five years that SMCC have been involved.
This year a new car, Titanium, proved too strong for Bullet 2 and took out the event winning 2-0 in the final. The Year 10 team of Michael, Kosta and Angus can once again be very proud of their efforts in finishing second for the two years running.
Second place will be good enough to earn them an invitation to the National Championships in Adelaide on the weekend of October 24-25. I am sure they will be putting a lot of time into getting their main car set up properly over the next few weeks.
