Reality is hitting home for our Year 7 teams as the UNSW Challenge is fast approaching. With still much to do both teams are struggling with understanding exactly what needs to be done in the final stages of connecting all of the various components.
The construction of the chassis for both teams has been relatively straight forward so it was interesting to see how they cope when hurdles are placed in their way.
One such hurdle related to the axles and wheels. The axles are slightly thicker than the holes in the middle of the wheels and need to be sanded off at the ends to accommodate the wheels. This created a few issues as to the best method of fixing the problem. Teamwork went out the window! After some sensible discussion and some advice from Michael they were back on track.
I am not sure where we would be without our great Year 10 mentor!
